Women have a complex array of hormones that change constantly for most of their lives. These processes help the female body nurture a growing fetus, maintain sexuality, and provide optimal health. There are many instances however where the body can be in a state of imbalance.

We see hormone imbalance through a number of conditions:

Menopause

PMS
Weight Gain

Carb Cravings

Adrenal Fatigue

Peri-Menopause

PMDD
Postpartum Depression

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

Under Functioning Thyroid

Melting Away The Symptoms of Menopause & Andropause is Easier Than You Think

You’d be surprised how quickly you can restore your hormones to optimal levels and start looking better, feeling better, and living better, free of the Menopausal & Andropausal symptoms that haunt you.

Hormones decline with age:

Estrogen – declines 30% by age 50 followed by sharp fluctuation (Menopause)

Progesterone – declines 75% from age 35 to 50, then continues to decline

Testosterone, Growth Hormone, DHEA, and Pregnenolone – decline 50% from age 25 to 50 and an additional 50% by age 75

Melatonin – declines a small amount from age 25 to 40, followed by a sharp drop

Women who initiate hormone replacement under the age of 60 have an overall reduced mortality. (Study of 30 trials and over 26,000 participants – Journal of Internal Medicine 2004). Women are now living 30 to 40 years past menopause. This time in their lives needs critical attention.

Excerpt from Dr. Edgerton’s chapter in:

NORTH AMERICA’S TOP DOCTORS SHARE SECRETS TO ANTI-AGING & WELLNESS

Perimenopause is the time between premenopause (regular cycles of ovulation) and menopause (permanent infertility). Premenopause is when the ovaries are functioning perfectly and there’s perfect harmony among all of the body’s hormones. Menopause is the time where many of the major hormones are in decline or at a deficiency state.

It’s during perimenopause that a woman’s body undergoes biologic changes as her ovaries begin to produce less of the female sex hormones. In this middle zone, there are good levels of some hormones and others that are starting to fall. It’s the imbalance of hormones that can cause many of a woman’s unpleasant symptoms.

Dr. Edgerton’s background in women’s health allows him to really understand how imbalanced hormones affect the female body. He believes that using the most natural hormones and supplements promotes the best possible results. Our hormone replacement program incorporates baseline testing and re-evaluation periodically while patients are on therapy. We have had phenomenal results and our patients are excited to finally get the results they desire without synthetic hormones or anti-depressants.”
